Finding effective and innovative ways to protect public health.

Region 8 Environmental Finance Center

What do we do?

NRWA’s EFC helps communities find effective and innovative ways to help address the growing costs of protecting public health and the environment in a sustainable and equitable manner.

The EFC provides finance-related training, technical assistance, finance studies, and other analytical support to help guide communities’ critical environmental infrastructure consisting of drinking water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems on lowering costs, increasing investments, improving financial capacity, encouraging full cost pricing, and identifying and evaluating financing options.

NRWA was selected in April 2017 to establish the Region 8 Environmental Finance Center (EFC) in order to provide environmental finance expertise and outreach to regulated communities to help them meet environmental requirements.
